The leaders of Dark Age Aeolian colonists and their supporters preferred to establish colonies in Lesbos, Southern Aeolis, Mysia and Troad, which appears to have taken place roughly eighty years after the Trojan War and lasted for a long time. This paper, in a new way, attempts to put forward that the Dark Age Aeolian colonists seem to have re-colonised the territories of their ancestors. One of the reasons they chose to settle in these territories may result from the fact that they could easily have developed an ancestral claim over these newly colonised territories on the grounds of their genealogical connections and earlier political involvements starting from the last quarter of the fourteenth century B.C.en_US
