Determinants of firm-level export performance: Case of Denizli textile and apparel industry The resource based approach is one of the comprehensive theoretical approaches that reveals determinants of export performance at a firm level. This view argues that internal factors determine firms' export performance. In this study, determinants of export performance are analyzed from the point of resource based approach. For this purpose a survey was applied to textile and apparel firms in Denizli and determinants of export performance is analyzed by using econometric estimation methods utilizing logit and probit models by the data obtained from the survey. Econometric results show that firm age, quality accreditations, rate of capacity utilization, advertising activities, research and development activity period, multiple production fields and perceived demand level affect firms' export performance significantly. No significant relationship is found between export performance and brand ownership, firm size, innovation output.
