SOMA KÖMÜR HAVZASINDA BIR YERALTI İŞLETMESİNDE ALT TABAN YOLU DESTEK SİSTEMİNİN İYİLEŞTİRİLMESİ
Abstract
Maingate and tailgate entries bearing paramount importance for the underground coal mines where the longwall method is employed, cause many down-times when they are exposed to excessive deformation. In order to reduce the deformations at the maingate having a trapezoidal cross-section, an improved design was applied. Due to the necessity to use a trapezoidal like cross-section with a flat roof, an arched roof option is disregarded without any evaluation. The necessity arise from the machinery equipment compatibility and the solution is sought by taking a flat roof into account. Eventually, a mechanically superior steel support system than the old one was developed. The support system consisting of the integrated improved steel support and cable bolt application, is presented together with the analyses.
