Safahat’ta İçki-Kumar Çıkmazındaki Erkeklerin Kadına Bakışı ve Akif’in Çözüm Önerisi: Eğitim

Abstract

Toplum sorunlarının şiirde işlenilmesi gerektiğinin vurgulayan Mehmet Akif, bu hassasiyeti eserlerinde bizzat gösterir. Ele alınmasında fayda gördüğü konulardan biri de içki-kumar alışkanlığı olan erkeklerin kadına bakışıdır. Çalışmada şairin ,Meyhane', ,Mahalle Kahvesi' ve ,Köse İmam' adlı eserleri bu doğrultuda incelenmektedir. Araştırmada, tarama yöntemi ve içerik çözümlemesi/analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Eserlerde şairin; içki, kumar, kahvehane gibi alışkanlıkları aileyi yıkan yani huzursuzluk ve kavgaya sebep olan, boşanmaları artıran unsurlar olarak gördüğü belirlenmiştir. Bu tür alışkanlıkları olan kişilerin; kadına değer vermediği, onların sözünü dinlemediği, onlara sözel ve fiziksel şiddet uyguladığı, basit sebeplerle boşadığı ya da ikinci eş isteğiyle eşlerini mutsuz ettikleri görülmektedir. Kadınların ise; aileyi toparlayıcı, çalışkan, sorumluluk sahibi ve uysal olduğu buna karşılık eşlerinin davranışları nedeniyle mağdur ve mutsuz oldukları anlaşılmaktadır. Akife göre bu durumun sebebi cahillik ve çözüm ise küçük yaştan itibaren aileden başlayarak verilecek iyi bir eğitim ile mümkün olabilecektir.

Mehmet Akif Ersoy emphasizes that one should not hesitate to treat any kind of problem, issue in poetry regarding the society. When regarding the social problems, one of the points he focuses on is the attitude of men, who have bad habits like alcohol and gambling, towards women/their wives. In our study, his poetic stories called Meyhane, Mahalle Kahvesi and Köse İmam are discussed in line with the mentioned subject. In the study, the descriptive method/scanning method, which is a qualitative research method, was used. the content analysis technique was also used. As a result of the study, it is found out that he considers places like taverns, coffeehouses and habits like alcohol, gambling and going to coffeehouses as the factors that break up the family, in other words cause discomfort and quarrels among the family, increase the divorces. It is conferred that people having that kind of habits do not value women, do not listen to them but commit verbal and physical violence against them, divorce their wives for simple reasons, or make them unhappy by marrying once again while still married. As for considering the women in the works, it is observed that women are gatherers of the family, hardworking, responsible and compliant, however they are turned into victims and unhappy women because of their husbands’ attitudes and behaviours towards them. It is inferred that Mehmet Akif considers ignorance as the cause of this situation and as for its solution he adopts a perception of education starting with the family from the early ages
