Pterjiyum Cerrahisinde Korneal Astigmatizma: Temporal ve Nazal Pterjiyum Cerrahisi Sonuçları

Abstract

Amaç: Temporal ve nazal pterjiyumlu gözlerde cerrahi sonrası astigmatizmadaki değişimin karşılaştırılması.Gereç ve yöntem: Temporal pterjiyumu olan 4 olgunun 6 gözü, nazal pterjiyumu olan 15 olgunun 15 gözü ile karşılaştırıldı. Cerrahiden 1gün önce ve cerrahi sonrası 2. ayda Canon RK-F1 ile otorefraktokeratometri ölçümleri yapıldı ve astigmatizmadaki değişim karşılaştırıldı.Astigmatizmadaki değişim cerrahi sonrası ve öncesi keratometri değerleri arasındaki fark alınarak hesaplandı. Bulgular: Temporal pterjiyumlu olgularda cerrahi öncesi korneal astigmatizma değeri -1,58±0,54 D iken cerrahi sonrası -0,95±0,50 D idi.Cerrahi sonrası astigmatizmadaki değişim 0,62±0,25 D idi. Nazal pterjiyumlu olgularda cerrahi öncesi korneal astigmatizma -2,79±0,59 Diken cerrahi sonrası bu değer -0,88±0,29 D olarak hesaplandı ve astigmatizmadaki değişim değeri 1,88 ±0,72 D olarak tespit edildi. Her ikigrupta cerrahi öncesi ve sonrası değerler arasındaki fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı idi (p=0,002; P=0,00). Gruplar astigmatik değişim değerleri açısından karşılaştırıldığında aradaki fark anlamlı idi (p=0,001).Sonuç: Nazal pterjiyumlu olgularda cerrahi sonrası astigmatizmadaki değişim temporal pterjiyumlu olgulara göre daha fazladır

Objective: To compare the change in astigmatism after the surgery in eyes with temporal and nasal pterygium Material and Method: 6 eyes of 4 patients with temporal pterygium and 15 eyes of 15 patients with nasal pterygium were compared. Autorefractokeratometer measurements were performed with Canon RK-F1 1-day before and 2-month after surgery and the change in astigmatism was compared. The change in astigmatism was calculated by the difference between the keratometer values before and after surgery Results: In the patients with temporal pterygium, while preoperative corneal astigmatism was -1.58 ± 0.54 D, it was -0.95± 0.50 D postoperatively. The change in astigmatism was 0.62± 0.25 D after the surgery. In the patients with nasal pterygium preoperative corneal astigmatism was -2.79 ± 0.59 D, and postoperative value was -0.88 ± 0.29 D, and the change in astigmatism was 1.88 ± 0.72 D. In both groups the difference between preoperative and postoperative values were statistically significant (p=0.002; p=0.00). When the groups were compared in terms of the change in astigmatism, the difference was significant (p=0.001). Conclusion: The change in astigmatism in patients with nasal pterygium was more than that of patients with temporal pterygium.
