Zihinsel Yetersizliğe Sahip Öğrenciler İçin Fen Eğitimi

Abstract

Bu derleme çalışmasında zihinsel yetersizliğe sahip öğrencilere yönelik olarak gerçekleştirilmiş olan fen eğitiminin durumu incelenmiştir. Temel olarak zihinsel yetersizliğe sahip öğrencilerin yeterli fen eğitimi almadığı ve bu öğrencilere yönelik olarak fen konu ve kavramlarının öğretimi ile ilgili çok az çalışmanın olduğu yapılan alan yazın incelemesinden ortaya çıkmaktadır. Çalışma ile ayrıca bu alandaki eksikliklere ve sorunlara vurgu yapılarak alanda çalışacak araştırmacılarda farkındalık oluşturmak istenmektedir. Genelde yetersizliği bulunan öğrenciler özelde ise zihinsel yetersizliğe sahip öğrencilerin eğitimi için geliştirilecek uygun materyal, öğretim yöntem ve teknikler ile birlikte seviyelerine uygun düzeyde fen eğitimi alabilecekleri fikri savunulmuştur. Bu alanda yapılacak atılımlarla birlikte zihinsel yetersizliğe sahip öğrencilerin öğrenme potansiyellerinin en üst düzeye çıkarılıp, onlar için söz konusu olan engellerin ortadan kaldırılacağı düşünülmektedir

This study attempts to reviewed the situation of science education being given for students with intellectual disability. Basically the review of the body of literature has showed that students with intellectual disability have not get adequate science education and there have been only few studies about the teaching of science subjects for those students. Besides, it has been desired to raise the awareness of researchers to study in this field by underlining the deficiencies and challenges in this field with this study. It has been argued that in general the students with disabilities and specifically the students with intellectual disability can get science education at appropriate level with the suitable material, teaching methods and techniques to be developed for the education of those students. It has been thought that the learning potential of the students with intellectual disability will be maximized and the obstacles in question will be eliminated
