Organizational justice is what the individuals who make up an organization expect to receive from the organization in return for the effort they put forth in order to reach the goals of the organization. Knowing the perceptions of employees about organizational justice in terms of job satisfaction and organizational commitment is important for organizational structures. Employees always compare themselves with others in the organizations they belong to. They expect the rules to be applied equally for each person in the organization, the wages to be paid equally for the same job descriptions, to have equal rights in leaves, and to benefit from social opportunities like everybody else. However, the basis of organizational justice perception is not only outputs and comparisons to these outputs, but also the interaction between the rules of the organization and the way these rules are applied and the people in the organization. The rules of the organization and the attitude in the implementation of these rules are important. One of the reasons for the angry behavior in the organization stems from the employees' perception of justice regarding the organization they are affiliated with. If employees realize that they are not treated fairly, they may display some negative and offensive behaviors in order to ensure justice. Such behaviors not only affect the workflow in the organizational structure, but also damage the relations between employees. Considering the labor-intensive structure of the maritime industry, the long working hours of the employees, the tiring and challenging conditions of working at sea, the fact that seafarers are often away from their families and cultures for a long time, and the emotional fatigue caused by all these conditions, it is very important to ensure organizational justice in maritime. Having a substantive organizational justice in the maritime sector is necessary to increase and maintain the qualifications and motivation of maritime workers. In this part of the book, firstly, the concepts of justice and organizational justice will be defined, the principles of organizational justice, its types and the details of the basic theories of organizational justice will be explained, the results of organizational justice will be specified and then the administration of organizational justice in maritime industry will be discussed.

Yerel halkın turizmin başarılı ve sürdürülebilir bir gelişimini desteklemesi gerekliliği, özellikle gelişmekte olan turistik destinasyonlar için önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, gelişmekte olan bir turizm destinasyonu olarak Datça'daki yerel halkın sürdürülebilir turizm gelişimine ve turizm işletmelerine yönelik tutumlarını incelemektir. Çalışmanın bulgularına göre, yerel halk genel olarak sürdürülebilir turizm gelişimi boyutlarına yüksek oranlarda katılım göstermektedir. Halkta çevre koruma bilincinin gelişmiş olduğunun göstergesi olarak, yerel halkın en fazla katılım gösterdiği boyut çevresel sürdürülebilirlik olarak göze çarpmaktadır. Ancak yerel halkın turizmin sosyal maliyetine yönelik en düşük katılımı, halkın bu konuda bilinçlenmesi gerektiğini göstermektedir. Ayrıca, yerel halk turizm işletme türlerine genel olarak olumlu yaklaşırken, alternatif turizm işletmelerine yaklaşımları kitle turizmi işletmelerine kıyasla daha olumludur; Successful and sustainable development of tourism in a destination should be supported by residents. This requirement also applies to Datca as a developing tourist destination. The aim of this study is to investigate the resident attitudes towards sustainable tourism development and tourism establishments as a developing tourism destination in Datca. According to the results of the study, the residents have high levels of acceptance to the development of sustainable tourism in general. The maximum agreement of residents in sustainable tourism development dimensions is environmental sustainability. This means that residents’ awareness of environmental protection has improved. However the average agreement level of social cost of tourism is much lower than the rate of other sustainable tourism development dimensions. This shows that the awareness of the social costs of tourism need to raise. Attitudes of local community towards tourism establishments may be converging to the positive as a developing tourism destination. However, alternative tourism establishments are favored much compared to mass tourism businesses

Otel işletmelerinin ulusal ve uluslararası turizm piyasasında karşı karşıya kaldıkları rekabet koşulları küreselleşen dünya ile birlikte giderek ağırlaşmaktadır. Rekabet gücü faktörlerinin otel işletmeleri açısından incelenmesi bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada öncelikle rekabet gücü kavramı ve otel işletmelerinde rekabeti etkileyen faktörler açıklanmış, daha sonra da otel işletmeleri yöneticileri arasından seçilen örneklem grubu üzerinde gerçekleştirilen anket çalışmasının sonuçlarına dayanarak değişik faktörlerin rekabet gücü üzerindeki algılanan etkileri incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar ışığında teorik ve uygulamaya dönük bazı önerilere de yer verilmiştir.; The competitive conditions faced in the international tourism market have become fierce along with the globalization in the world. The present study aims at the investigation of the perceived factors influencing the competitive advantage of hotel businesses operating in İzmir. First, the study introduces the concept of competitive advantage and its specific dimensions. Then, the effects of different factors on competitive power are evaluated based on the results of a questionnaire survey carried out among a group of hotel managers. Through the analysis of these findings, the study concludes implications both for the theory and practice.
