This study aimed to determine the effects of different microbial fertilizers and vermicompost levels on yield and quality traits of two chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) cultivars under Fethiye (Mu &amp; gbreve;la) ecological conditions during the 2018 and 2019 growing seasons. &amp; Idot;nci and Hasanbey cultivars were evaluated using two microbial fertilizers (Rhizobium ciceri and Bacillus megaterium) and four vermicompost doses (0, 2500, 5000, and 7500 kg ha-1) in a split-split plot design with three replications. The treatments significantly affected biological yield, harvest index, hundred-grain weight, protein ratio, phosphorus content, and nodulation characteristics. Across both years, &amp; Idot;nci produced a higher biological yield (5757 kg ha-1) than Hasanbey (5542 kg ha-1). Vermicompost applications increased biological yield from 4994 kg ha-1 (0 kg ha-1) to 6167 kg ha-1 (5000 kg ha-1). Rhizobium inoculation improved biological yield to 5781 kg ha-1 compared with the control (5419 kg ha-1). The harvest index ranged between 25.1 and 27.9%, with higher values generally observed in Hasanbey. Hundred-grain weight varied between 37.2-38.5 g in the combined analysis, with the highest values obtained from 5000 kg ha-1 vermicompost and Bacillus treatments. Protein ratio increased from 20.3% in Hasanbey to 21.1% in &amp; Idot;nci, and microbial fertilizers-particularly Rhizobium-enhanced protein content. Vermicompost and microbial fertilizers also improved nodule number and nodule fresh weight. Overall, the combined use of vermicompost (5000-7500 kg ha-1) and microbial fertilizers, especially Rhizobium, enhanced yield and quality traits in chickpea under the ecological conditions of Fethiye.

This study examines the role of experiential marketing in shaping gastronomy tourism experiences and enhancing destination competitiveness through a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed studies published between 2015 and 2025. Following PRISMA guidelines, the review analyses 52 articles and identifies innovative, multisensory, and participatory practices that foster emotional engagement with local food cultures and support regional development. The review synthesizes research on sensory and emotional engagement, authenticity and cultural identity, and innovation through co-creation and sustainability. The thematic synthesis identifies three main themes - sensory and emotional engagement, authenticity and cultural identity, and innovation through co-creation and sustainability - shaping contemporary gastronomy tourism experiences. The findings show that experiential marketing can enhance tourist satisfaction, strengthen stakeholder collaboration, and support sustainable and competitive destination branding in hospitality and tourism.

The study aims to empirically test the superiority of portfolios composed of stocks located on the DEA efficient frontier and introduces a multidimensional evaluation framework that integrates technical efficiency analysis with investor behavior. The risk-return space, based on Markowitz’s mean-variance model, is non-parametrically restructured using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Portfolios constructed based on DEA super-efficiency scores are evaluated using a utility function representing investor preferences modeled within a behavioral finance framework (A = 1 and A = 5); performance is also compared via the Sharpe ratio. The analysis, conducted using BIST 100 data for the period 2016-2019, shows that the highest utility and Sharpe ratios are concentrated in portfolios identified by DEA as efficient. These findings suggest that technical efficiency and behavioral investment decisions can align, providing investors with a holistic framework for both rational and behaviorally consistent portfolio selection.

This study including two successive experiments was conducted to evaluate the effect of native rhizobacteria (RB) strains on drought tolerance of tomato plants at the vegetative and fruiting growth stages. The first experiment was conducted in the growth room by growing plants in nutrient solution under polyethylene glycol induced drought stress, which initiated 7 days after planting and lasted 8 days by increasing the osmotic stress gradually every 48 h from Ψs = −0.25 to −1.00 MPa. Among the 12 RB tested, RB isolates 113 (Bacillus megaterium isolate NUC) and 377 (Bacillus cereus strain BBS7) were selected according to principal component analysis for testing in long term plant production. The second experiment was conducted in the greenhouse by growing plants in perlite filled pots for 128 days after transplanting. Irrigation was based on the water consumption of the plants, and the plants were irrigated to cover well-watered (100% FC) or drought (50% FC) of this amount. For both experiments, seeds were inoculated with the RB strains before sowing. RB inoculation increased plant growth, leaf pigment contents, antioxidant enzyme activities and ascorbic acid level, but reduced malondialdehyde levels in tomato plants under drought stress. The marketable yield was increased 8.7 and 10.6% in the absence of water stress, and 70.2 and 59.9% under water stress by RB 113 and RB 377, respectively.
