Physical metallurgy of magnesium [2]
Özet
Key features in the deformation behaviour of magnesium have been introduced in terms of the consequences of hexagonal crystal structure, dislocation core width and stacking fault (SF) energy concepts. Elastic and plastic deformation behaviour of magnesium has been addressed in relation to critical resolved shear stress, slip and twinning. The anomalies during plastic deformation, fatigue, creep, recrystallization and grain growth in magnesium and its alloys have been pointed out and discussed under individual headings. Future trends in research and use of magnesium alloys have been indicated. © 2013 Woodhead Publishing Limited All rights reserved.

Forming Behaviour at Elevated Temperature of a Laser Heat-Treated AZ31 Magnesium Alloy Sheet
Sorgente, Donato; Palumbo, Gianfranco; Fortunato, Alessandro; Ascari, Alessandro; Kaya, Ali Arslan (Trans Tech Publications Ltd, 2018)The tailoring of mechanical and technological properties of the initial material in sheet metal forming has been widely investigated and successfully applied. The benefits of such an approach can be found in the improvement ... -
EFFECTS OF MAGNESIUM AND CALCIUM CATIONS ON BIOFILM FORMATION BY Sphingomonas paucimobilis FROM AN INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT
Güvensen, Nur Ceyhan; Demir, Serdar; Özdemir, Güven (Parlar Scientific Publications (P S P), 2012)Bacterial biofilms may form on all surface-associated natural and many industrial environments. Biofilm formation requires particular notice due to its associated risks for human health and its impact on environmental ... -
Deformation behaviour of a new Magnesium ternary alloy
Guglielmi, P.; Kaya, Ali Arslan; Sorgente, D.; Palumbo, G. (Amer Inst Physics, 2018)Magnesium based alloys are yet to fill a greater niche especially in the automotive and aeronautical industry. In fact, such alloys have a big weight saving potential, together with good damping characteristics. However, ...
