dc.description.abstractIn this study, isophytalitic unsaturated polyester based composites were prepared by reinforcing with boron carbide, silicon carbide and tungsten carbide. IEMR attenuation properties of the composites were investigated by gamma spectroscopy for different IEMR energies after density evaluation and structural characterization of the composites. Mass attenuation coefficients of composites were higher than lead although they were 5-7 times lighter than lead.en_US
