We estimated weight-length relations for the fishes collected. Values of the allometric coefficient (b) ranged from 2.1729 for Cepola macrophthalma to 3.6372 for Equulites klunzingeri. All relations were highly significant (P < 0.001), with the majority (94.17% of 103 species) r(2) values being greater than 0.9. Four species evidenced isometric growth, 50 species showed positive allometry, and 49 species have negative allometry. Seven species studied were Lessepsian migrants.en_US
