A study on loneliness level of students in faculty of vocational education in terms of some variables

Abstract

The study aims to analyze students' loneliness levels in Selcuk University at Faculty of Vocational Education in terms of some variables; department, sex, where they grow up, their type of accommodation, and class. UCLA Loneliness Scale to determine loneliness and personal information questionnaire for personal information were used. First, the scales were applied to 110 students for validity and reliability and some items were removed. After that, scales with 19 items were divided into two subcategories, social relation and introversion. Then, the study was applied to 271 students from different departments.
