Abstract

Juvenile books and other related material occupy a central place in the children's healthy development and their ability to become book-lovers. One primary reason that makes the books indispensable part in the child's life is its potential to serve as an important tool during the education process of the child. Considering that childhood is the era where education and training is the most efficient and influential, it will be fair to conclude that the educational elements in the juvenile materials hold a very important place in the children's education. The present study seeks to identify the educational elements in regards to social life and social development included in the juvenile books. The study concludes that the subject works include a wide range of themes including global issues of the entire humanity, the responsibilities of the children, health, traffic and codes of conduct.
