A NEW RECORD AND CHECKLIST OF HYDNELLUM FOR TURKEY

Abstract

This study is based on the macrofungal specimens collected from Manisa province in 1998. Hydnellum spongiosipes (Peck) Pouz. identified among these specimens has been recorded for the first time in Turkey. This species is described and illustrated (Fig. 1). A complete list of species of Hydnellum reported by scientists since the beginning of macrofungal studies in Turkey are given with the localities.
