Bal Arisi Sokmasi Sonucu Gelişen Akut ?nferior Miyokard ?nfarktüsü: Kounis Sendromu Tip II Olgusu
Abstract
Bees stings have long been known to be associated with a variety of local and systemic reactions. Bee venom has many different effects on the human body. Bee venoms contain thrombogenic substances that might be responsible for cardiovascular events, especially in patients with coronary artery disease. Acute myocardial infarction due to honeybee sting is a rare condition. Kounis syndrome is the concurrence of acute coronary syndromes with conditions associated with mast cell activation including allergic or hypersensitivity as well as anaphylactic or anaphylactoid reaction. We report the case of a 61-year-old man with acute myocardial infarction occurring after a single honeybee sting in the presence of anaphylaxis. Copyright © 2014 by Türkiye Klinik leri.
