dc.description.abstract | Supplementing the nutrient requirement of wheat through organic manures plays a key role in sustaining soil fertility and crop productivity. The study was conducted to determine effects of traditional fertilisation (DAP + A. S) and different organic manures sources (sheep, chicken, pigeon manure, municipial sewage sludge and certificated organomineral fertiliser) on the yield and some yield components in Tir wheat in Eastern Turkey. Experiment was laid out in randomised Complete Blocks Design with three replicates at the fields of University of Yuzuncu Yil, Faculty of Agriculture in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 growing seasons. In this study, it were investigated the effects of traditional fertilisation and organic manures on plant height, spike length, seeds per spike, 1000 seed weight, seed yield, harvest index, hectolitre weight, protein ratio and phosphorus content in seeds. According to results of the study, while the highest seed yield was obtained from pigeon manure application with 2010 kg ha(-1), the lowest seed yield was obtained from municipal sewage sludge and traditional manure (DAP) applications with 1291 kg ha(-1) in united years. Information gained from this study will be utilised to develop more efficient pigeon manure fertilisation in winter wheat. | en_US |
