Ortaokul Ders ve Çalışma Kitaplarında Sanayi İnkılabıyla İlgili Soruların Ahlaki Boyutunun İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaokul ders ve çalışma kitaplarında yer alan Sanayi İnkılabıyla ilgili soruları tarihsel düşünmenin alt boyutlarından birisi olan ahlaki boyut açısından incelemektir. Araştırma içerik analizi yöntemiyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ortaokullarda yer alan Sanayi İnkılabı konuları 7. sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler ve 8. sınıf Türkiye Cumhuriyeti İnkılap Tarihi ve Atatürkçülük ders ve çalışma kitaplarında yer almaktadır ve araştırmanın evrenini oluşturmaktadır. Analiz birimi olarak ders ve çalışma kitaplarında yer alan sorular ve soruyla ilgili görsel ve yazılı materyaller seçilmiştir. Araştırmada ahlaki boyut içeren soruların frekans ve yüzde olarak son derece az olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca yapılan incelemeler sonucunda; öğrenci ile geçmiş arasında bağlantı kurmaya çalışılan soruların yetersiz olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına dayanılarak ahlaki boyut ile ilgili soruların öncelikle nicelik olarak artırılması önerilmiştir. Ayrıca ahlaki boyut içeren soruların niteliği ile ilgili önerilerde bulunulmuş ve örnek olabilecek sorular sunulmuştur.

This study examines the questions related to the Industrial Revolution in the secondary school textbooks and workbooks in terms of the moral dimension which is one of the sub-dimensions of historical thought. Industrial Revolution subjectin middle schools are located in 7th grade Social Studies and 8th grade History of Republic of Turkey and Atatürk Revolution textbooks and workbooks and they constitute the population of this study. As the unit of analysis, questions in the course and workbooks and visual and written materials related to the questions and were chosen. In the study, it was determined that questions with moral dimensions were extremely low in frequencies and percentages. Also as a result of the investigations made; it was understood that the questions trying to connect the student and the past were inadequate. Based on the findings of the research, it is proposed to increase the questions related to the moral dimension primarily in quantitative terms. In addition, suggestions have been made about the nature of the questions with moral dimensions and examples of possible questions are presented.
