Finansal yönetim dersini almış öğrencilerin finans eğitimi beklentilerini ölçmeye yönelik yapılan bir çalışma
Özet
Yirmi birinci yüzyılda içinde bulunduğumuz küreselleşme süreci, gittikçe artan bilimsel ve teknolojik gelişmeler, ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel alanlarda meydana getirdiği değişme ve gelişmelerin yanında eğitim sistemlerini de etkileyerek değişime doğru sürüklemiştir. Özellikle ülkemizde bir meslek edinme ihtiyacının ve eğitim seviyesini yükseltmek isteyenlerin sayısının artması, meslekte bulunanların ilerleme isteği nedeniyle, eğitime yönelik beklentilerin artmasına neden olmuştur. Bu durum eğitimcileri klasik anlamdaki eğitimi bir yana bırakarak, gelişen teknolojiye ve beklentilere cevap verecek düzeyde yöntemleri kullanması mecburiyeti içinde bırakmıştır. Modern dünyada her alanda olduğu gibi, finansmanla ilgili konularda ve finansman fonksiyonunda da son dönemlerde önemli gelişmeler ve değişmeler yaşanmıştır. Finans, 1950’li yıllarda modern kimliğine bürünmüştür. 1950’lilere kadar finans yöneticisinin esas görevi, muhasebe kayıtlarını tutmak, ihtiyaç duyulan fonları sağlamak ve dönem sonlarında finansal raporlar hazırlamak iken; günümüzde finans yöneticisinin firmanın organizasyon yapısı içerisinde en yüksek karar alma ve yürütme organlarına yakın olması finansman eğitiminin önemini ortaya koymuş ve finansman eğitimi alan kişilerin de bu dersle ilgi beklentilerinin artmasına neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı; finansman eğitiminin daha verimli ve kaliteli hale getirilmesi hususunda, finansman eğitimi alan öğrencilerin bu dersle ilgili düşünce ve beklentileri doğrultusunda, verilen finansman eğitiminin gereksinimlere ve değişen koşullara ayak uyduracak şekilde gözden geçirilerek, elde edilen veriler ışığında çözüm önerileri aramaktır. Çalışma teorik ve uygulama olarak iki kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Teorik kısımda finansman eğitimi, finansman eğitim kurumları, finansman eğitiminde yeni teknolojik gelişmeler ele alınmaktadır. Çalışmanın uygulama kısmında ise Türkiye’de 8 Üniversitede gerçekleştirilen anket çalışması yer almaktadır. The globalization process that we have in the twenty first century and the increasing scientific and technologic developments have brought about the changes and developments in economic, social, and cultural areas besides leading to changes in education systems affecting them. Especially the need to obtain a profession in our country, the increase of the number of people who wants to raise the level of their education, and the progression demand of those who are in profession led to increased expectations for education. This situation forced the trainers to use the methods to respond to growing technology and expectations leaving aside the classical sense training. In the modern world some significant developments and changes has recently been experienced in finance related issues and finance function as in every field. Finance adopted its modern identity in 1950s. Even though the main task of a finance manager was to keep accounting records, to provide the needed funds, and to prepare financial reports at he end of the terms until 1950& #8217; s, today a finance manager can receive the highest decisions within the the firm& #8217; s organizational structure. Finance officials due to being close to the executive branches have revealed the importance of financial education and have increased the expectations of people who take this course. The purpose of this study is to examine the current financial education system and to explore ways to implement a more efficient and higher quality financial education system in the future. Much of the data used in this study comes from former finance graduates who were asked about their thoughts regarding possible revisions to keep pace with changing conditions. This study consists of two parts, which is theory and practice. In theoretical part, financial education, financial educational institutions, and new technological developments in finance education are covered. In the practical part of the study, there is a survey made in 8 different universities in Turkey.
