Food Safety Practices on Dairy Farms in Turkey: A Case Study of Izmir Province
Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the food safety and quality practices on dairy farms that are located in Izmir province. By means of a survey in. which dairy farmers responded to a special questionnaire, data were collected from 103 dairy fanners. Chi-square (Test of Independence), Variance (one-way ANOVA) and Kruskall Wallis Test were used to analyze the data. The 5-point Liken scale was used in measuring problems raised in dairy fanning about food safety and quality practices and proposed solutions for problems from farmers.
